1:00 PM Geocaching
I made a quick grab of a cache on the path near the Byron Bay lighthouse. I didn't need a cache for this day, but I knew the cache was on the way back from our trip to the lighthouse.

3:00 PM Birding
While on the walk to the lighthouse we saw a raptor, then on the return trail through the rainforest we saw an Eastern Whipbird and 2 Grey Fantails.

8:00 PM Life
Today was planned as a visit to Byron Bay. We arrived about 9:30 am, parked the car in an area that provided 4 hours free parking, and then had a cappuccino and a passion fruit square for breakfast at a large open air restaurant/pub. Then we hiked up to the famous Byron Bay lighthouse and back through the path through the rainforest. Once back at the car we drove to Lennox Head where we had a delicious grilled chicken/asparagus/avocado sandwich. Then back to Ballina where we went across the road to the hotel/pub for a super chicken parmesan dinner. A very satisfying day.
