June 18, 3:00 PM  Geocaching

I was in the Crowsnest Pass region today and decided to try to find, for the third time (!), a cache in Pincher Creek. This time I made a quick find. Fascinating how one can miss seeing something one day and then see it quickly on another.


The weather was not conducive to geocaching with serious rain squalls on and off all day. I was lucky to hit a short period where there were only a few sprinkles to make the search.


June 17, 8:00 am  Geocaching

I drove to a nearby cache in west Lethbridge and made a quick find.

Apparently this was someone's pet rabbit. I am impressed that the team that placed this cache noticed this small memorial (since I know the team did not have a pet rabbit).

That fills in another square on my grid for all the days of the year. This was my 60th find for 2012, a low total for this time of year.


June 16, 6:50 am  Geocaching

I walked to a nearby CARL4 cache and quickly made the find.

That fills in another square on my grid for all the days of the year. I have now filled in 275 squares, only 90 more to do. Many of the blanks are in December and January. There are 4 more blanks to fill in for June (I have already missed 4 for this month).

I needed to find a geocache for today.

This completed my geocaching activities for this visit. I found 7 caches, each one on a day of the year  that had no previous finds.


June 6, 3:00 PM  Geocaching - Kingston

I needed to find a geocache for today. I used my iPhone to see if there were any caches nearby the location where we stopped for lunch. The display indicated there was one within 3 metres of the car. I found it after we had finished lunch.

I needed to find a geocache for today. The rain made for wet grass but the cache was just off the path and not a problem.

I needed to find a geocache for today. This time I managed to combine the search with a trip overtown and soon had the find in hand.
