A. Morning Musings

The coffee is ready. I slept in this morning, but am now up and ready for a pleasant day. There is a light dusting of snow on the ground this morning.

Model Trains will be the priority item for today, even though I will not be near my layout.

I think I have Ship It! working. But there is still much to learn about it. I want to try running a sequence of 10 sessions and to spend time reviewing the various reports after each session. I also want to have a look at the output of the Car Cards program for this run.

Today should also be a good day for doing some serious reading about DCC.

B. Actual Learning Activities

3:00 PM

I have reviewed many of the reports produced by Ship It!. Now that I have it working, I am beginning to appreciate many of its features.

I have finished reading "The Flying Troutmans".

The Flying Troutmans

Miriam Toews

This is the third novel of Miraim Toews that I have read. I have thoroughly enjoyed all three. I found this one to be much "deeper" in terms of its underlying message, but all three were very funny, very clever, and very witty. There were all read quickly, as I just flew through the story. All three have a similar literary style and message.

I would rate this book as 4 out of 5.
