A. Morning Musings

There is a light rain falling at the moment. A review of the temperatures for the last 24 hours indicates a high of +7 C and a low of +6 C. This is the first time that we have stayed in single digits for a complete 24 hour period this summer. The next harbinger of the end of summer will be when we first hit a negative number.

I have a coffee scheduled for 8 this morning at Tim Hortons. Overall, the day looks to be cool and wet, a good day for indoor activities. Most shops will be closed - this is the Labor Day long weekend. School begins tomorrow for most students.

I have a couple of small catch-up tasks to take care of this morning (updating my logbook for geocaching trips, updating our logbook for Camry expenses such as gas and maintenance) but overall it looks like a good day for looking at my model train layout.

B. Actual Learning Activities

5:00 PM

I spent about 3 hours today reviewing my Model Train magazines and articles. I now have a much better sense of the resources that I have in hand. This was the first Model Train activity since early March of this year.

We failed to reach double digits for our temperature today. It was definitely cool. We even turned on the furnace for the first time this summer.
