A. Morning Musings

I am up early this morning, for no obvious reason. But a fresh cuppa would hit the spot.

Once again the main choice is between playing with the Ship It! software and reading. I would like to get the Ship It! under some form of control so I could switch back to actually running my trains. I have ordered two decoders for two of my diesel locomotives and hope to have them next week.

B. Actual Learning Activities

7:30 am

I am making some progress with Ship It! but have not yet been able to set up a routine that is self-sustaining.

9:00 am

We are off to Edmonton. Driving conditions are superb - the roads are bare and there is no ice or snow anywhere on the highway.

7:00 PM

I think I finally have Ship It! working. Now it is a matter of adding detail and records. But I feel that I am on the right track. It is amazing what one small change to one parameter can make. But the effort involved over the last week has been time well spent. I now understand the program much better than I would if it had worked well the first time.
