It looks like the forecast has changed to simply some rain later in the day. But this will still be a day without geocaching.
Today is the election in the United States. I am looking forward to watching this as I am assuming that Obama will win.

History | Continue reading "A Fair Country" by John Ralston Saul | 2 hr |
An early morning hour reading John Ralston Saul's "A Fair Country" is a great way to begin the day. This is a book to be read slowly and thoughtfully. I am agreeing with his arguments, in some deep, and important, sense I understand what he is saying. And this understanding is at a non-verbal level, which is one of his key points, that it is part of an underlying cultural ethos. I also embrace, and have always embraced, the ideas of complexity and non-linearity. These are not mathematica ideas but ideas about reality. Reality is complex. Listen to the diversity. It is diverse, and the bumps cannot be smoothed. Nor should they.
