B. Actual Learning Activities

8:00 am

I have prepared 2 Planning Sheets for the 5 geocaches in West Lethbridge that I have yet to try. Three of these are in the coulee and will involve some walking. The other two look to be a case of little green things in trees. Preparation is an important aspect of this - I learned that from Team DJM. I have also downloaded the caches to my GPS. I have a coffee scheduled at Tim's for 8:30, and I have a few errands to run. Then I will see about trying at least a couple of the geocaches.

12:00 PM

Errands ran.

I wnt back to Chapters to buy a book on Champlain and ended up with 4 books:

Now to try for the 2 caches in the coulee just north east of us. This will be a walking venture. Off I go, hi ho, hi ho ...

2:00 PM

Done. I had little difficulty finding GC1AK5Y - "Big Rock" and GC1AJBR - "Bushes". Having local knowledge of the trails in that part of the coulee made a big difference as I was able to avoid bushwhacking my way from one cache to the other - which was on the other side of a deep ravine.

5:00 PM

Two steps forward, one step back. I have just finished logging in my 2 "finds", only to find that a new cache had appeared in west Lethbridge. It is just off one of the parking lots at the university, so I am off to see if I can find it before dark.

6:00 PM

Done, again. Hopefully when I log this in shortly, there will not be any more newbies. Here is my report for GC1HCC8 - "It's Park Time".
