Description

I love walking on this trail, easy walk. There is a parking lot just off of University Drive. It is a small plastic container that is camo-taped. Log book, pencil, small items, and first to find prize. The expert geocachers of Lethbridge have been complaining that Lethbridge doesn't have enough caches so I am trying to do my part. Since I am new to this please don't cuss to loudly if I'm a little off . . . I know that geocachers are smart so you should have no problem with my caches.

Hints Take one step off the trail and it may bite you.
Comments Pretty easy find, managed to avoid all the spikes :) This was a fun one. I walked right past it!

PLANNING

The 2 caches GC1AK5Y - "Big Rock" and GC1AJBR - "Bushes" are on two sides of a deep ravine. The trick is to start with the high one and then take the trail down to the coulee bottom and then up another trail on the other side of the ravine. Then after finding the second cache to keep going until I am home. It is a good plan.

OUTCOME

Total success. I was home in 2 hours with 2 more caches to my credit. I left the first cache at 12:40 and was at the second cache at 1:10 - a walk of 30 minutes downhill on a good trail, then back up on another good trail. Easy when you are familiar with the trails.

I have just come down this trail
I am going up the trail in the foreground - the trail I came down is the light line in the middle of the photo. The deep ravine is between the two trails.

I left a Coffs harbour key chain in the cache. A very satisfying 2 hours. The views in the coulee never bore me.
