We hit our first negative temperature (-1 C) at 4 this morning. Summer is now over, at least in my mind, and fall is now on.
A very good reason to put the coffee on.
I thoroughly enjoyed spending some time with my Model Train activities yesterday. I have now refreshed my mind regarding a few new tasks. I want to focus much of my time on DCC (Digital Command Control). One such activity is installing two digital switching modules that will allow me to control a total of 8 turnouts with the digital hand controller. The second activity is learning to install DCC modules into my diesel locomotives. This is a much more involved activity and will take some serious study. A third activity will be to learn about realistic operation involving waybills and the creating and moving of trains and goods from one location to another. Finally, there is an article in the next issue of Canadian Railway Modeller that I am eagerly awaiting. It will show me how to model HO operational switch stands.
