B. Actual Learning Activities

6:20 am

I have been looking at the App store for the iPad and have discovered some amazing pdf readers. This is a new area for me and deserves some serious time.

11:30 am

I noticed a book by Wade Davis sitting on the top of a pile in our bedroom and decided to have another look at it. I have now read the first 2 chapters and am truly loving it. He can write, both clearly and with conviction. There are a number of beautiful sentences in the book - I will try to capture a few of them later.

3:40 PM

The wind is 57 kph with gusts to 67. It felt like a lot more than that when I was walking up the slope of the coulee on the way back. But it does feel good to be getting a walking routine back in my life. I did see a sea gull flying near the school yard (the first this year) but was unable to make a positive identification (likely a Ring-billed Gull).

The aroma of freshly baked bread is throughout the house. Time to remove it from the machine.
