A. Morning Musings

We now are back to our unseasonably warm weather.

Model Trains: I will visit the local hobby shop and see about picking up some weights for the light cars. I will also buy a few lengths of 3' flextrack to store my "modern" rolling stock while I set up my layout for the 1950 - 1970 era. I will also order a copy of Ship It! as my 30 day free trial has only about a week left before it needs a password. I do not need any of the other 3 programs (Railbase Professional, Car Cards, and Scheduler). The Filemaker Pro database that I set up over a decade ago is actually better than Railbase Professional; I don't need car cards or waybills since Ship It! produces switchlists as well as numerous diagnostic reports; and I am sure I will not need Scheduler for quite awhile. I also want to add a few lines on the table I created a couple of days ago for a brief history of the CNR.

Literature: One of the books I bought a few weeks ago is an account of a fellow who spent a year alone in the southern Chilean wilderness. I will begin reading it today.
