A. Morning Musings

I feel like a little musing this morning.

I recall creating a small table of "long term" projects a couple of months ago. Now to locate it and have a look at it. I am motivated by the tray of slides I have near the computer.

Long Term Activities Planned Activities for Today Time Today Cumulative Total
Cull professional articles Review Psychology articles
5 hr
Prepare pdf files of my papers Digitize 3 professional papers
4 hr
Digitize slides Digitize slide collection
10 hr
Put away stamps
0 hr

The above table was copied from the June 28 web page.

I have a few other activities that need some attention.

This list turned out to be longer than I expected. Only the first and last items have a simple solution and a well-defined end.

Learning Category Planned Activities for Today Time
Literature Begin reading "A Farewell to Arms" by Ernest Hemingway
1 hr
Puzzles Solve puzzles from "Hashi" book
1 hr

B. Actual Learning Activities

5:30 PM

I finally began work on refinishing our patio furniture. This is a set of 4 chairs, a tete-a-tete, and a round table, all made from cedar. We have had the set for 20 years and it is still looking good. Or it will be looking good when I sand down and refinish some of the weathered areas. The round table top has been sanded down and looks good. I still want to try sanding the edge of the top and the legs. Then it will be ready for the first coat of finish.

I also, finally, began reading "A Farewell to Arms" by Hemingway.

8:00 PM

I have put in about three hours on the patio table today. It is now completely sanded and ready for the first coat of finish.
