A. Morning Musings

Last night's football game turned into a classic last-minute finish. Final score: Edmonton 34 Calgary 31.

Fitness: This is Day 2 of my resolve to get back into shape. My early morning heart rate is 54. I have begun monitoring my diet and physical activities using the FitDay software. The goal today is to begin an actual exercise program.

Inner Self: Now to bring my Rumi reading up to date. Then to follow it with some reading from "Moments in Between". A peaceful start to the day.

I have a coffee scheduled for 3 PM at Mojos Pub & Grill.

B. Actual Learning Activities

Both Rumi and Kundtz were particularly good this morning. Perhaps it is me that is good - I am relaxed and ready to appreciate what I read. Here are a few quotes:

I have often quoted the Satchel Paige quote, but until now I did not realize who had originally said it.

I am truly enjoying "Moments in Between". The photography and imagery that accompanies the text are superb. I just realized that each chapter of the book is in a different background color. This is the same idea that I had for my very first web site, but this is done tastefully in the book, whereas my choice of colors was garish and in one's face.
