A. Morning Musings

I am up early and alert.

Yesterday was a blip in my program to cut back on eating and to engage in more physical exercise. I will try to get back on track today.

B. Actual Learning Activities

6:40 am

I am trying to establish a new routine of keeping a black notebook near me at all times. The idea is to jot down ideas & thoughts when they occur to me.

Another new routine is to have 3 pills each morning: a vitamin D pill, a daily dose ASA pill, and a multivitamin pill.

One thought this morning is to see if Glowing Embers is set up to fix water tanks in a 5th wheel. I am eager to get our unit back on the road.

I am also reading one chapter of "Moments in Between" each morning. It is a calm way to begin the day.

9:00 PM

We spent a couple of hours this morning buying two bicycles. They had to assemble one of the bikes so we wandered around the shops and then had a coffee at a nearby Tim Hortons.

We also spent a couple of hours cleaning up our storage room and getting rid of more stuff that we are not likely to use again including some of my old climbing equipment.

I have finally put in a couple of hours of non-stop reading of the Crichton book and should be able to finish it tomorrow.

We are back from a 45 minute bicycle trip that covered much of the route that we often use when walking. It has been about 6 years since we last were on bikes. Earlier today we bought 2 "old-fashioned" bikes (i.e. single speed, coaster brakes). They need a few minor adjustments (realign wheels on one bike, handlebars on another, add air to one bike) but overall the trip was a success.
