A. Morning Musings

I am still waking up too early, but better than yesterday.

Here is my planning table for today:

Immediate Description Time
Technology See about getting a new battery for my MacBook Pro 1 hr
Technology See Scott about internet access using Parallels and windows xp 1 hr
Literature Continue reading "Seven Types of Ambiguity " by Elliot Perlman 1 hr

Here is my updated list of chores that need attention:

Most of the items on the list of chores seem doable. I will begin the day by geting myself a cuppa and then I will try to contact Apple about my battery. Then I will sit back and read "Seven Types of Ambiguity".

B. Actual Learning Activities

6:00 am

Spending an hour, early in the morning before anything else really begins, and with a hot cuppa beside me, and a good book, is a very relaxing way to begin the day. I must try to build this into my regular routine, even after I start waking up at a more reasonable time.

7:00 PM

I slept from 6:30 am until 11:00 am. Clearly my body wants to remain in Australia.

I made a phone call to an Apple dealer in Calgary and they were familiar with the "battery problem". I need to bring the laptop in so they can see the serial number and the battery. They will then order a new one for me and have it delivered to our address in Lethbridge.

We made another major trip over town to complete our grocery shopping as well as pick up my vest from the cleaners and check out a problem with our cell phones. Then I made a large pot of chili, most of which we will freeze and eat later.

I placed an order at amazon.ca for a total of 9 more books. They are not likely to arrive until early January.

I did find time to continue reading "Seven Types of Ambiguity". I am now using a new bookcover to protect the book while I am reading. My first impression is that of the book having a different "feel". It is now softer. I like this.

Reviewing my plan and list of items, I see that I made barely a dint in them today.
