A. Morning Musings

6:00 am

dawn

We are now in the muddle of last minute details. This morning we will drop off some books at the Ballina library and some clothing at the Salvation Army. We will definitely take time for a cappucino at Pelican 181 in Ballina. We are also trying to sort out a few last minute afternoons and evenings. And in the back of our minds is the final hand over of the car, which won't occur until late Thursday or early Friday. This will then involve depositing the cheque, handing in a slip to the RTA that informs them of the sale and contacting the NRMA to cancel the insurance, plus cancelling the ad in the local paper. Details.

We will move out of the unit on Saturday, so that will involve a few trips moving stuff from Lennox Head to Ballina. That will also be the time to disassemble the barbeque and have it taken away.

I am continuing to read "The Black Swan" and am also working on a few crossword puzzles. The days remain full.

Immediate Description Time
Mathematics Complete reading "The Black Swan" by Nassim Nicholas Taleb 1 hr

C. Actual Learning Activities

7:50 am

I have just finished reading "The Black Swan" by NN Taleb. Superb! Two immediate comments:

I am now in the unusual postition of having time and no books at hand.

5:00 PM

Much of today was spent waiting for an update on the financing arrangements for the car. I finally received a phone call saying that the loan had been approved but they wouldn't be able to receive a certified cheque until Thursday. However the major potential hurdle has been handled. I am very close to being able to relax with all of this behind me.
