Today will be spent handling a few details of our trip back home. We have a morning trip to Lismore planned: a little shopping, lunch at the West Bank Cafe, and a quick look at the mounting of the left front headlamp on the car. I want the car in fine shape for the hand-over later this week. Also I need to deposit the cheque for the deposit on the car and see about setting up a transfer of most of our money to our Canadian bank.
My head is already in Canada. I want to begin seeing about DCC for my model trains and I want to buy a fine pen nib for my Pelikan pen. I will then have another go at refreshing my mind about calculus as well as group theory. The big question mark will be whether I begin to focus on drawing. I am also thinking of buying a large journal book for 2008 where I can make daily entries using my fountain pens.

The trip to Lismore was successful. The car headlamp is fixed and we have set up and signed the necessary forms to close our bank account and transfer the money to our Lethbridge account. All that remains of our financial affairs is to receive and deposit the cheque for the car. That should occur on Thursday, or Friday morning at the latest.
I am just back from a walk on Seven Mile Beach. This was the first opportunity to take a few photos of the Lennox headland with a blue sky in the background.
