I have spent about 3 hours as I finished step 4 (Brake System) to 3 more cylindrical hopper cars. I think this step will be the slowest and most difficult of the 11 steps.
I then completed applying the hinges as part of step 5 (Hatches and Hinges) for one of the cars. The hinges are also very small, but they are not as delicate as the brake system pieces. I still have to snap the hatches into these hinges.

I have completed the hinges and hatches for all 4 kits. I estimate that I have spent about 6 hours on these kits today. I still have 6 steps left for each kit, and a large number of tiny pieces to attach. But the progress is noticeable.
I have downloaded all 4 manuals for the various Ship It! software programs. So far, I think I understand what is required.
