I have spent about an hour and a half attaching 8 tiny pieces to one cylindrical hopper car. These pieces constitute the brake system for the car. I had to be extremely careful detaching the pieces from the sprue and even more careful placing, and cementing, the pieces on the car body. It is difficult to hold a piece with the tweezers as it easily slips out and then bounces all over the place. I was fortunate to not lose any of the pieces. I think a couple of pieces took me about a dozen, maybe 20 tries before I finally had it positioned properly.
Here are three photos of the activity:
The two brown pieces were scraps that I used to prop up the top air hose (piece g8 in the diagram) until the cement dried.
At this rate I will be lucky to get this step completed for 2 kits in one day. It may be very slow, and somewhat tedious, but I actually enjoy the challenge.
