Much of the day was spent with my model trains. The activity was evenly divided between the operational running of a train and maintenance on both the track and a boxcar.
I have begun reading Ian McEwan's "Solar". It is genuinely funny.
I notice the back cover says it is also available as an e-book. I will have to give a few of these a go.
Although it may be available as an e-book, it is not available from the iPad (there are 4 of McEwan's novels available but not this one).
Here is my comment from yesterday: "But I'm surprised that the environment has still be unable to use voice as a dominant controlling medium. Why can't I say "Show me all the books on symmetry and group theory"?"
I have just used the Google app to do exactly that! I said to the iPad "where are the rare birds in Alberta" and received a series of web pages that gave me that information." I am even more surprised than I was yesterday!
I have downloaded both the NYTimes newspaper as well as the NYT crossword apps for the iPad and finished a Monday puzzle.
