I have just completed all of the Australian records in my birding database. I have now provided scientific species names to 96% of the records in my file. Only Panama remains.
Whooee! After a coffee-meet at Tims I headed over to one of the stores that was selling iPads at 5 PM. I was in a line of only 12 people at 4 PM. At 5:10 PM I had an iPad in my hands. Now to learn to play it.
I have been connected thru wi-fi this evening as there was a problem getting the sim card activated at the store, so the G3 connectivity is not yet operational. But I have some of the basics under control. I have downloaded 2 (free) books and figured out how to add yellow highlighting to the text. The way the pages turn is way cool!
I have also finished reading "Decoded". I loved it. It was a real learning experience for me, and I now have a better sense of hip hop as well as the culture that spawned it. Jay-Z is an artist in a different genre, but definitely an artist. Now to learn more about physics and space-time. And to learn more about Dreamweaver CS5. And iPad! I feel genuinely alive.
