While in Edmonton I noticed a sign about a model train show being on today and tomorrow at the Mayfair convention center. I changed my plans for the day and drove over to have a look.
This turned out to be a good idea. It was very similar to the one in Calgary. While visiting one of the exhibits I met a fellow who worked at the icefields at almost the same time as I was there. Neat. I also learned about a large Canadian distributer of model train equipment ( www.pwrs.ca ). This certainly looks good.
I bought a rainbow hopper car, a package of 6 coal cars, and a magazine on realistic model railroad operation.
