Model Railway: Cars
I purchased 3 TrueLine Gold CN 40' boxcars (CN 475479, CN 485338, CN 475822).

In the process of looking through my stuff I came across two "coal loads" for two of my hopper cars. I had no idea that I even had such items. This will come in handy as I now have loads for all three of my undecorated hoppers which will make it easy to put them on or take them off as I move the cars over the layout according to the directions provided by Ship It!. Now to see about finding 6 more loads for the Walthers 100 ton quad hoppers.
While at Trains & Such in Calgary I bought 2 refrigerator cars from the 1950's era. One was owned by Swift and the other by Fruit Growers Express. I now have 4 reefers for this era, the others owned by Home Hardware and CN.
While in Edmonton I visited The Roundhouse hobby shop and bought a boxcar that advertised beer from Sault Ste Marie. Who could resist such an item?
I am back from a quick trip to Calgary and the Trains and Such model train store.
I noticed a Sylvan kit for a CNR Wood Caboose that was on sale for $25. (regular price $37.75). This was soon followed with a Saskatchewan cylindical grain car ($59.95). These are made exclusively by a small BC company and are hard to find. I am delighted to now have one.
Last, I bought a Walthers Grand Trunk Western 30' wood caboose which still needs to have the grab irons installed. All in all, a very successful trip.
