Sunday April 25, 2010 Lethbridge, Alberta

12:00 noon

I have removed my bridge "duck-under" for the time being as I cannot run any trains until I receive a new throttle from MRC.

I have one question about creating 4 power districts on my layout. Do I need 3 more boosters or do I need a 4-circuit breaker board?

Now to have a close look at my wiring as I try to "clean up" some of the hanging wires that are underneath the layout.

3:30 PM

I have examined all of my mainline 14 AWG wiring using red and black wires. I moved two terminal strips, shortened a number of wires between terminal strips, and attached the wires to the underside of the frame using some coaxial fasteners that I bought at The Source a couple of days ago. This part of the wiring is now finished. The logic of the wiring was established some time ago, but because of changes to the layout many of the distances between the terminal strips had altered but I at the time I had simply made the new connections without bothering to adjust the lengths.

I still need to carry out the same process with the wiring for my accessories (turnout stationary decoders at the moment, but flashing road crossing gates, operating oil pump, lights in buildings, etc).

9:35 PM

The accessory bus (yellow & green wires) is almost completely fastened. But I ran out of coaxial fasteners. I should be able to finish this tomorrow.
