Monday April 26, 2010 Lethbridge, Alberta

9:15 am

I have assembled the undercarriage for the Accurail kit I purchased at the SuperTrain show on April 18. This wooden boxcar with steel ends is now operational.

The database has been updated and this photo added to that file as well.

11:30 am

I have finished attaching a number of coaxial cable clamps to hold the accessory wiring to the underside of my layout.

2:00 PM

I am beginning to assemble a ScaleRail Industries UGG grain elevator kit that I have had for a number of years. The model uses a "new" resin called UC2/3 which requires contact cements. I have just purchased a small bottle of M1100G Mercury Adhesive (green bottle - thick viscosity) as well as a spray bottle of Insta-Set which should set the glue as soon as the spray hit it. The resin material as well as the two glues are all new to me.

5:00 PM

I have reviewed and updated the four summary web pages (Current, Future, Past & Cost).

6:00 PM

I have begun gluing together a couple of pieces of the UGG grain elevator. This will give me a sense of how the glue works with this type of plastic/resin.
