It is another cool morning with some rain overnight. Our two rain barrels are full again. The weather now heads into the fall season where we may get a few more warm days but the majority will remain cool. I just managed to get the patio furniture finished in time. I am not sure if I will try to add the final coat to the tete-a-tete today. The next three days should be a bit warmer, so there is no need to panic. I like to have the temperature above +15 C and prefer it to be close to +20 C.
I finally returned to reading, continuing "For Whom the Bell Tolls". This is a great war novel. I have always enjoyed Hemingway's writing. I am thoroughly enjoying this novel. I am motivated to return to his short stories.
Two other activities are beginning to return to my consciousness: mathematics and the study of symmetry, and my model train layout.

I have attached the backs to the four chairs with new carriage bolts as the old bolts were showing signs of rust and decay. That completes the chairs. The table was done almost a month ago.
The tete-a-tete still needs a final coat of finish but today is remaining cool (still only +9 C) and overcast with some showers possible. Tomorrow should be warmer so I will wait until tomorrow before applying the finish.
