A. Morning Musings

I have a cup of coffee, not a Tim Hortons, beside me as I enjoy an early morning back home.

As usual when we return home, there are a number of chores that need attention. One of the most obvious this time is to get the 5th wheel cleaned up, replace the hot water tank, and repair the flooring. I would also like to stain some of the wood in the back yard. The patio needs cleaning as the berries on the may tree are ripe and there is a mess below it. The flower pots need to be moved back to where they belong (we had moved them under the may tree to protect them from the sun while we were away). And the willow tree on our property line will need to have a couple of branches cut off to make room for our 5th wheel. It also needs to be re-parked so that it will be possible to unroll the canopy and get it cleaned.

And as soon as we get organized we need to return to our quest to buy a new car.

B. Actual Learning Activities

7:30 am

The morning is still young but already I have drunk two cups of coffee, moved the flower pots back to their original location, and hosed down the patio. I also have the water fountain on. It had rained over night and the two rain barrels are full. Now we have a pleasant place to sit and enjoy the day.

9:30 am

The willow tree has been trimmed so the 5th wheel can be easily moved onto our back yard pad. I am making progress.

5:00 PM

I repositioned the 5th wheel and then we both spent much of the day cleaning it up. We have removed the damged linoleum from the area near the door. I have an appointment to repair the hot water tank for July 30. The roll down canopy is in good shape and is now spotless.

No reading today, but it feels good to be taking care of the chores around the house.
