More chores are scheduled for today as we get ready for a garage sale this Saturday.
Rather than begin another novel, I am going to focus on "Ahtahkakoop". It reads like a novel.

Once again, I revel in the idiosyncrasies of life. This little subroutine began almost exactly a month ago when I visited Greenwoods, my favorite bookstore in Edmonton. One of the books I bought was called "The Last Lecture". Yesterday I read the book and watched the video of Pausch's last lecture. This morning I downloaded the software program Alice from Carnegie-Mellon and have viewed the first tutorial. I now know how to figure skate!
My first reaction to this software is very similar to my first reaction to two other computer languages (APL and Logo), and the opposite of my reaction to many other languages (Fortran, Cobol, Pascal) and even Second Life. Some experiences are engaging and powerful, right from the outset, others are confusing and technical.
The book on Alberta birds that I ordered last week arrived. It is gorgeous!
