A. Morning Musings

Now to wake up. The weather has warmed up considerably overnight. There may be some light snow later this afternoon. I have a dental appointment this morning that may put a dent in activities for much of the day. But I am making good progress on three fronts: Literature, Technology and Model Trains. "The Pillars of the Earth" is about 3/4 read, the paper is about 2/3 complete, and I now have a plan for my model trains that will encompass the entire room and utilize 5 of my bridge kits. I will aim to visit a lumber store later today and buy the wood I need to build the benchwork for the train layout.

Perhaps a coffee will get me motivated... Snow conditions are superb (a rarity in Lethbridge). I may try for a little cross-country skiing at Nicholas Sheran park, just for the exercise.

Learning Category Planned Activities for Today Time
Literature Continue reading "The Pillars of the Earth" by Follett 1 hr
Technology Work on paper & workshop materials 3 hr
Model Trains Purchase wood for benchwork 1 hr

B. Actual Learning Activities

11:00 am

The coffee helped. I have been working on a paper for a conference I hope to attend later this year. I now have a first draft complete! Now to sit back and let it settle before having a closer look at what I have written so far.

Off to the dentist...

1:30 PM

The dental trip was only 30 minutes. Make that progress on four (five?) fronts. I have also purchased the wood for the benchwork for my model train layout.
