The Channon markets are on today. We plan to meet with a few friends in Ballina for an early breakfast, then drive up to The Channon to see the markets. This has always been a favorite item while we are in Australia.
I am still musing over the chart I made yesterday about the first few chapters of "Truth is Beauty". The chart is fine. The question I have is why I seem to prefer this chart to the equivalent table where each row is an entry and the columns have headings like Date, Individual, Description?
The sunrise this morning was the best so far on this trip.

I just tried playing a game of chess against the software (Sigma Chess 6.1) I downloaded yesterday. I was easily beaten. I am a little concerned that I may begin spending more time on this activity. I would prefer going back and Learn to improve my understanding of GO.
I locate software for GO (Goban) and play a quick game of 9x9. I lose by 8.5 points (territory 23 v 24, captures 1 v 2, sente 6.5). It has been a long time since I played this.
I now have three time fillers: GO, Chess & New York Times Crosswords. But I must ensure that these remain just that. My Learning priorities of mathematics, literature and drawing are of a higher value.
Much better. I have completed my second drawing, a Shortfin Mako shark. Now to find some real ones and see if I can catch their vitality on the fin.
The day unfolded as expected. We had breakfast at the Ramada Inn in Ballina, then toured The Channon markets. We had a light lunch in Alstonville with a friend and then returned to Lennox Head, buying a chook at the Ballina IGA on the way. We took a nice walk on Seven Mile beach and then relaxed for the evening.
