I am not sure about the day's activities at the moment. I would like to find time to continue working on the birding database, reading "The Untouchable", and maybe try drawing my first caricature.

We decided to stay put today and take it easy. In the early afternoon we spent about half an hour whale watching. There was one whale that we could see from our unit balcony that put on quite a show of showing its tail (flukes). It also jumped almost clear out of the water a couple of times, but I wasn't able to take a photo of that. But is was a spectacular show nonetheless.
I put about 4 hours into updating the birding database when I ran into trouble. All the images from October 4 were no longer accessible by Filemaker Pro. I still had the thumbnails and the information for each image, but no image. It took about 2 hours to find a location where the images were still available and to get them back into the Filemaker Pro database. I hope to complete the task of adding keyword information (i.e. names of birds) for each image tomorrow.
