Haldir takes the Company to the Anduin River where they decide to float downstream for awhile before making a decision to turn west toward Minas Tirith and Gondor (where Boromir is from) or east toward Mordor.

Lady Galdriel gives each of the Company a parting gift.

There is a warning signal that Frodo notices in Boromir's talk. He is beginning to hint that the Ring should not be thrown away.
