There is still a fair amount of tidying up to do before I have a fully functioning layout. One of the tasks that has needed attention for some time is to redraw the diagram of the layout. I also wanted to create a schematic diagram of the layout that gives an operator a clear sense of the track and what switching situations lie ahead. The darker line indicates the mainline routes.

The next step is to identify each of the mainline switches with an ID#.

I have changed, again, my approach to numbering the switches. I have used the numbers 1 - 49 to represent mainline switches in a basic counterclockwise sequence. I will then use the numbers 50 - 99 to represent siding switches.

The renumbering will require that I reset the digital codes for the stationary decoders. Fortunately this is a very easy task.
