Daley Train Log

I have installed the two double track bridges on the outer mainline and tested the reversing loop in Jasper for short circuits. All is fine.
I have completed my second running session while following the switchlist created by Ship It!. Train #500 travelled east from Queenston to Prairie Dog where it did some switching before setting out a reefer and then continued on to Black Diamond where it picked up 2 hopper cars loaded with coal and destined for the Jasper Coaling Tower.
I am back from the SAMRC meeting. I had a good chat with one of the members about Ship It!. I seem to be on track with most of my perceptions. The key one is that we both agree that there is no need for car cards and waybills. Once Ship It! produces the Switchlist one is ready to begin operating trains. I also think that I will not need the Scheduler module for some time. The heart of the system is the data base plus the actual Ship It! program. I am now ready to place an order for those two components.
On an unrelated question I asked a couple of members about cleaning track. They all agree that the Bright Boy eraser is the way to go. I am convinced.
