I have two items relating to model trains for today. One: I am going to continue assembling the Proto 2000 Series 52' 6" Drop End Mill Gondola. Two: I am planning to attend the Tuesday evening meeting of the Southern Alberta Model Railway Club and join.
I have already finished putting together the undercarriage by adding the couplers and trucks (aka wheels). The next few steps all involve the main gondola and involve the addition of a number of very small parts such as handles, grab irons and steps. This is slow going as I have to be very, very careful when cutting the parts from the sprues and very, very careful when trying to attach them to the car.

I have joined the Southern Alberta Model Railway Club. We meet every Tuesday evening at 7 pm at a clubhouse in Gyro park. The dues were $140.00, which I found to be a bit high, but I am optimistic that I will meet a number of people who will be able to give me advice on many aspects of this hobby.
