Snow is in the forecast, again. I have been shovelling it every day (3) since we returned from Florida.
I still have birding on the brain. The trip to Florida was a delight. I am eager to get on top of this hobby and develop a few lists, both for birds we have seen as well as for birds we will try to see on future trips.
Photography is also on my list of activities. I need to get my iPhoto files for 2010 up to date (delete numerous "poor" images, set up keywords and labels, burn backup DVDs, and so on. I need to begin some serious reading on both the technology as well as on composition. I would like to add wildflowers to my list of subjects that I focus on.
Geocaching is another outdoor activity that I should begin spending time on. There is still too much snow on the ground for most caches, but I can start planning a few trips.
Fitness, aka hiking, needs to get a higher priority. Cross-country skiing should be possible for another few weeks.
With the weather still a moderating factor for most outdoor activities, it is a good time for a few indoor activities.
Technology heads this list. I want to become more proficient at using geocaching software such as MacCaching and integrating Pocket Queries with my use of the iPhone (and hopefully the iPad in the near future). As already mentioned, I want to try out a software package called BirdBrain for keeping track of my birding lists. I also need to upgrade my understanding of the newest version of Dreamweaver. There are a couple of Apps for the iPhone that I want to review for monitoring my eating.
Model Trains are on my list of indoor activities. I want to get the turntable fully operational and I want to continue work on a few kits. Operational running should continue at the same time.
Reading is always a high priority. I want to add Science to my plans for the near future. I would like to firm up my understanding of the second law of thermo dynamics as well as string theory.
And this leads to Mathematics. This really should be a regular feature of my daily routine.
The above suggests that I need to be more rigorous in my scheduling of activities. It also suggests that I should have a second cup of coffee. And I need to re-establish my regular coffee meets at Tims with Frank.
Okay. Let's have a quick look at what I should do today.
