B. Actual Learning Activities

6:30 PM

We drove south to Melbourne to see the Brevard Zoo. It was relatively small but an excellent zoo. We thoroughly enjoyed viewing the birds and wildlife. My favorite was the Scarlet Ibis.

Birds seen today:

• Carolina Wren (lifer)
• Red-bellied Woodpecker
• Caracara (NA lifer)
• Downy Woodpecker
• Lesser Black-backed Gull (lifer)

Geocaching today involved 2 searches and 2 finds near Melbourne:

• GCJD2K - AT THE ZOO.
