Model Trains: I have spent about 2 hours installing two manual throw switches on my layout. I actually had these installed at another location a couple of years ago but then took them off when I was re-laying some of the track.
It was very finicky work. I am not sure if I will buy any more of these. The do work, and thus increase the fidelity of the overall operation where switching is required, but they do not look like the prototype switch stand. I am also not sure if I want to have all of my manual switches operated this way. Although it improves the fidelity it also delays the running of the trains. I shall see ...
