Now to have a look at the Ship It! Schedular program. I am not sure that I want to use this with my layout but I will have a look at the manual and see if it looks useful.
Although I think I have the general idea behind train schedules and their graphs I am not sure that I can apply this to my layout with its overall oval layout plus reversing loops. On the other hand, this is a fairly typical situation so maybe it will work.
I think I have a 30-day trial version to use before I have to pay to keep using it.
I now doubt that the Schedular program will work with my situation.
I spent a couple of hours earlier today creating a new timetable on a few sheets of paper for the 10 trains that I have planned. However when I then put these into Ship It! it generated a number of error messages. I am going to have to look at this again. There are a number of places where it would be easy to make a mistake.
