The rain has held off overnight although some is forecast for this morning. I think I can unload the truck of the wood from the old cupboards that we used to have set up in the garage if I get to the dump early.
Today looks like it will be busy. First, the trip to the dump. Then on the way back I will stop off at the local Toyota dealer to continue discussions. Then there is the possibility of a drive to Calgary to buy a GPS unit. I have decided on a Garmin nuvi 850 which will work well on the highway, is Mac compatible, and can be used outside of the car. Once again, I am optimistic that by the end of the day I will have ordered a new car and have a GPS unit for use with it. However in both cases the process has had a few unexpected twists and I am now aiming for a different GPS unit than what I had originally planned as I am trying to have something that is excellent on the road as well as for walking/hiking. In the case of the car, I am now opting for a sunroof in order to have a color that we like.
We have also set up the lower level bathroom for painting. That may wait until tomorrow but it is clearly on the radar as another activity.

Mission accomplished. I have now unloaded the truck, bought a new car (Toyota Camry), and bought a new GPS unit (Garmin nuvi 850). I am not sure when I will actually get the car but am hoping by the end of the week. Now I have to learn how to use the GPS system.
