Today looks like another beautiful day.
While on the web I learned that a new model of Garmin GPS receiver has just been announced. It now looks like a good time to wait until a few reviews are in before I make a final decision on which one I will buy. At the moment I am leaning toward the Garmin GPSMAP 60CSx, but the new Oregon series, which looks a lot like the Apple iPhone with a touch-sensitive screen, may be the choice if the initial reviews are positive.
Between a new car and a GPS receiver I have my mind full. I also want to look at the new GPS units that are designed specifically for use in a car. Buying books is a lot easier.
Today should be a nice relaxing day with little on the agenda.
On the other hand, there are a few house/yard duties. The lawn needs mowing. I also want to apply a silicone seal along the interior wall of the garage/house. Since today is Sunday, I will wait until at least 11 am before starting up the mowing.
We are so much more fortunate than our neighbours on the other side of the road. They now have large piles of stuff, carpets, and even the drywall now piled up on their driveways. The renovation services are painfully, and unacceptably, slow. It looks like much of their summer will be spent waiting for people to come and fix the damage that was done two weeks ago when we had a sudden downpour of over 2 inches in less than 90 minutes.

A full day, not quite what I expected this morning, but we have now taken care of a number of house/yard duties. The lawn is mowed, both front and back, the silicone seal has been applied along the interior wall of the garage house. Much of the day was devoted to going through a lot of old "stuff" and sorting it into paper and cardboard for recycling. Every little bit helps. We also did some cleaning in the garage.
We then watched a DVD movie, "Vantage Point". A real thriller.
