B. Actual Learning Activities

We are back from a lovely hike along the shore just north of Evans Head.

This has been a very special day. It began on a verandah at 8 this morning as I sipped a coffee and listened to the birds. Breakfast was a slice of dark brown bread with a macadamia nut spread. I have never seen so many birds as were in the tree just in front of the house. Peaceful beyond belief. There is nothing on iPod that is comparable.

While reading "Bad Land", I came across this sentence:

The distant view has a lovely, quieting effect, bringing a sense of things as they ought to be and a wonderment that any portion of the earth's surface could be so perfect." [p. 133]
