I have completed the notes I wanted to make for the upcoming workshop(s) on XHTML with Dreamweaver.
I am still wasting a couple of hours each day trying to find some combination of activities that will allow Flash Player 9 to install.
Success! It took most of the day but I have finally installed Flash Player 9. I reinstalled OS X and then went through the process of updating it to the current version. Even that failed to work. I then used Disk Utility to check the permissions and it noticed one. I had that repaired and then tried again, this time successfully. I think I have spent close to 30 hours playing around with this problem over the last couple of weeks. On the plus side, I learned a fair amount about permissions, Disk Utility and even a program called Terminal.
