I am up early this morning. I prefer waking up at 5 and alert.
I can think of four main activities for today. One is to register for the AusWeb 2008 conference. Two is to upload our paper to the AusWeb 2008 site. Three is to work on materials for the workshop I will be giving there. And four is to some grocery shopping. This all appears doable. But before I begin, coffee.

The coffee is ready and I am now registered for AusWeb08. Now to go through the process of uploading the paper.
Done. No real difficulties. I had the normal incompatabilities between programs that necessitated redoing the images from the Word file so they would be clear when viewed on the web page. Similar problems occurred with the formatting when doing the hypertext references. Not difficult, but tedious work. The complete exercise took about 2 and a half hours. A good start to the day. My concentration was so intense that I forgot to drink my coffee. Now to rectify that.
The snow is almost gone.
Time for a much needed break.
