A. Morning Musings

I am a little lethargic this morning. The idea of working on a Saturday has little appeal, at least at the moment.

Yesterday was a day with my trains. It was a nice balance of painting, repairing box cars, checking for clear rolling of cars plus a little reading on how to set a layout up for realistic operations.

I will grab a coffee and go downstairs to add the yellow wheel stops to my layout.

Learning Category Planned Activities for Today Time
Model Trains Add wheel stops to layout 1 hr
Model Trains Run two operating sessions 3 hr
Model Trains Complete kit for making 27 trees 2 hr
Literature Continue reading "The Pillars of the Earth" by Follett 1 hr
Technology Work on paper & workshop materials 1 hr

B. Actual Learning Activities

5:00 PM

This is the second day when I have spent much of it with my model trains. I had two operating sessions today. They both worked from the perspective of the logic of the switching activities. I had a couple of derailments on the first session - I think it was due to uneven joints where two track sections met. I am trying to balance operating sessions with the many activities related to improving the layout.
