It is raining quite hard this morning. The weather is making it difficult to plan the day.

C. Actual Learning Activities

We drove to Lismore in order to avoid the rain and spent the first half of the day looking at the shops in Lismore Square. I began reading "The Man Who Knew Too Much", a biography of Alan Turing. I really want to reread the third chapter on Turing machines again, very slowly and very carefully. It appears to be an excellent description of Turings major ideas and I would like to get on top of this.

I did buy one book that was on sale.

"On Literature" (2002) by Umberto Eco.
