Theme 6: Geomorphological impacts of climate change in glaciated regions

 

• Analysis of the causes and implications of a large rockslide in the Canadian Rocky Mountains using remote sensing and seismic techniques (Jiskoot, 2009).
• Use of vegetation establishment rates and sedimentological proxies to derive glacier retreat rates and discharge events of an Alaskan Glacier, and its impact on the glacier forefield (Jiskoot & McClung, in preparation).
• Measurement of glacier system retreat and its impact on the Clemenceau Icefield region in the Canadian Rocky Mountains (Jiskoot et al., 2009).
