    Nu ƿe sceolon herian      heofonrices ƿeard,

    metudes mihte,      ond his modgeþanc,

    ƿeorc ƿulderfæder—      sƿa he

    ærest sceop      eorðe bearnum

    Þa middangeard,      moncynnes ƿeard,
