Borges makes many references to the 1001 Nights (also called the Arabian Nights).
I spent some time checking out various versions of these tales on the web and on amazon.com. Here are some web sites:
The university course uses the book called "The Book of the Thousand Nights and One Night" by E. P. Mathers. There are some differences in the versions available between amazon.com (US) and chapters.ca (Cdn). Before
the day is out I have ordered the version by Mathers.
