Today was a Linux day. I purchased the Corel Linux distribution today. It comes with a really cute 3" plastic penguin - that makes it all worthwhile, particularly since I am familiar with the reason for the penguin
mascot.
I tried installing it on the PC in my office - success first time. I was very pleased that I was able to get Netscape working (including the email) without looking at any manuals. So I now have an operational system
connected to the internet (this will allow me to obtain updates to software packages). I also have WordPerfect operational. I have not yet figured out how to tell it that I have a printer.
I still feel that the desktop is not taking full advantage of the size of the monitor, but it is acceptable for the moment.
A good day's work!
